Follicular units are extracted individually across a planned donor zone before being redistributed into areas affected by permanent hair loss.

Doctor-led hair restoration in Liverpool for patients considering FUE, DHI, FUT and specialist hair transplant procedures.
Your consultation with Dr Harpreet Kalra covers the pattern of hair loss, donor density, existing hair, medical history and long-term goals before a technique or graft number is recommended.

FUE, DHI and FUT are separate surgical routes. The correct option depends on how donor follicles should be obtained, how they will be implanted, the size of the treatment area, hairstyle, scalp characteristics and the number of grafts required.

Book a Free ConsultationThe visible area of hair loss is only one part of the assessment. Dr Harpreet Kalra, GMC reference 7126076, also examines the donor region, hair calibre, miniaturisation, previous treatment and the likely progression of untreated hair.
This matters because donor hair is limited. A strong plan uses suitable grafts where they will create the greatest visual improvement without leaving the donor area depleted or compromising future treatment options.
Our clinics have treated patients with different hair types, patterns of loss and restoration goals, including professional footballer Kyle Walker. Every plan remains specific to the individual patient rather than being copied from a standard graft package.
Medical history, suitability, donor supply and treatment design are considered before surgery is recommended.
Ask us for the exact treatment location and registered provider details, then check the current CQC record before booking.
Extraction pattern, strip position and remaining coverage are assessed as part of long-term donor management.
Patients receive guidance covering washing, sleeping, exercise, shedding, early healing and expected growth.
Hair transplant procedures currently advertised from £3,499
This starting figure is not a quotation. The final cost depends on the treatment area, graft requirement, donor characteristics, technique and complexity of the surgery.
A useful quotation should identify the planned area, realistic graft range and what the price includes. Your surgeon should explain why the recommended graft range is appropriate before you decide whether to proceed.
Request a ConsultationLiverpool Hair Transplant Clinics is based on Lord Street in Liverpool city centre, close to Liverpool ONE, Castle Street and the waterfront business district.
Liverpool Hair Transplant ClinicsJames Street station and Liverpool ONE bus station are within walking distance. Several public car parks serve the city centre, although patients should arrange suitable travel after surgery in line with their clinic instructions.
Suitability depends on the cause and pattern of hair loss, donor density, medical history, age, recipient area and likelihood of further thinning. These factors must be assessed before surgery or a graft number is recommended.
The graft requirement depends on the size and shape of the treatment area, existing density, hair calibre, planned coverage and the donor supply available for the future. Another patient's graft count is not a reliable estimate for your scalp.
FUE, DHI and FUT are separate surgical routes with different donor-harvesting or implantation workflows. The appropriate option depends on the donor area, recipient design, graft requirement, hairstyle and individual surgical plan.
Procedures are currently advertised from £3,499, but this is not a universal package price. Your quotation follows an assessment of the treatment area, donor characteristics, graft requirement, technique and complexity.
Transplanted shafts commonly shed during the early weeks. New growth usually begins from around the third or fourth month, with coverage and hair calibre continuing to develop through the first year and sometimes towards 18 months.
Yes. Surgery relocates selected donor follicles but does not stop untreated native hair from continuing to thin. The design must account for future loss and suitable patients can discuss longer-term medical management.
Early recovery commonly includes redness, tenderness and crusting. Some patients experience shedding of transplanted shafts, but the timing and amount vary. Washing, sleeping, exercise and scalp care should follow the written instructions supplied by the clinic. Read our Liverpool aftercare guidance for more detail.
